McAllen T Visa Immigration Lawyer

In the United States alone, around 50,000 people are annually trafficked from Mexico, the Philippines, and other countries in the vicinity. In the year 2000, Congress passed the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, which created T visas for the victims of sex trafficking and labor trafficking. If you are a victim of trafficking, Abogado Guerrero, a professional immigration attorney, can help you obtain a T visa. You can contact Abogado Guerrero at our McAllen, Texas Office at 956-313-9333.

How Does a T Visa Work?

A T visa is a temporary visa that lasts for four years and can be prolonged in certain circumstances. T visa allows you to work in the U.S. and have temporary status. Later on, victims can apply for a Green Card after a 3-year duration under a T visa.
In addition to getting a T visa for yourself, you can get derivative T visas for a parent, minor sibling, or child. If victims are older than 21, they can get a T visa for their spouse.

What if You Are Not Eligible for T Visa?

If you have any concerns or doubts about T Visa or whether you are eligible for the program, you can contact Abogado Guerrero at our McAllen, Texas Office at (956) 313-9333. Even if you are not eligible, there are other options available for you, such as a U visa for the victims of crimes other than human trafficking.
