Cary T-Visa Immigration Lawyer

The government supports victims of sex trafficking and labor trafficking by providing temporary status through a T visa.
How does trafficking happen? Traffickers make false promises of employment or work or, in any other way, lure the victims into sex and labor slavery.

Severe Forms of Trafficking

-There are two types of trafficking incorporated into federal law that are considered severe forms of trafficking.
-Sex Trafficking involves people under the age of 18 for the purpose of the commercial sex act by force, fraud, or coercion.
-Labor Trafficking involves people for labor or services by force, fraud, or coercion.

If you identify yourself to be the victim of either of the forms of trafficking, contact Abogado Guerrero at our Cary, North Carolina Office 984-218-9450 to start the T-Visa application.

Path Towards Green Card (Lawful Permanent Residence)

If you are a T visa holder, you can apply for lawful permanent residence if you meet the following requirements:
-You have been physically present in the United States for at least three years since receiving your T-Visa or any period until the investigation is complete.
-You have shown good moral character.
-You have reasonably tried to assist the investigation officials regarding your case.
-You would suffer extreme hardship involving physical and psychological harm if deported or forced to leave the United States.

Being a T visa holder, you can even assist your family members in receiving the T status and then green cards. For further assistance, contact Abogado Guerrero at our Cary, North Carolina Office, 984-218-9450 to start the T-Visa application.
